Joshua 19

And the second lot came out for the children of Symeon; and their inheritance was in the midst of the lots of the children of Juda.

Καὶ ἐξῆλθεν ὁ δεύτερος κλῆρος τῶν υἱῶν Συμεών· καὶ ἐγενήθη ἡ κληρονομία αὐτῶν ἀναμέσον κλήρων υἱῶν Ἰούδα.

And their lot was Beersabee, and Samaa, and Caladam,

Καὶ ἐγενήθη ὁ κλῆρος αὐτῶν Βηρσαβεὲ, καὶ Σαμαὰ, καὶ Καλαδὰμ,

and Arsola, and Bola, and Jason,

καὶ Ἀρσωλὰ, καὶ Βωλὰ, καὶ Ἰασὸν,

and Erthula, and Bula, and Herma,

καὶ Ἐρθουλὰ, καὶ Βουλὰ, καὶ Ἑρμὰ,

and Sikelac, and Bæthmachereb, and Sarsusin,

καὶ Σικελὰκ, καὶ Βαιθμαχερὲβ, καὶ Σαρσουσὶν,

and Batharoth, and their fields, thirteen cities, and their villages.

καὶ Βαθαρὼθ, καὶ οἱ ἀγροὶ αὐτῶν· πόλεις δεκατρεῖς, καὶ αἱ κῶμαι αὐτῶν.

Eremmon, and Thalcha, and Jether, and Asan; four cities and their villages,

Ἐρεμμὼν, καὶ Θαλχὰ, καὶ Ἰεθὲρ, καὶ Ἀσάν· πόλεις τέσσαρες καὶ αἱ κῶμαι αὐτῶν,

round about their cities as far as Balec as men go to Bameth southward: this is the inheritance of the tribe of the children of Symeon according to their families.

κύκλῳ τῶν πόλεων αὐτῶν ἕως Βαλὲκ πορευομένων Βαμὲθ κατὰ Λίβα· αὕτη ἡ κληρονομία φυλῆς υἱῶν Συμεὼν κατὰ δήμους αὐτῶν.

The inheritance of the tribe of the children of Symeon was a part of the lot of Juda, for the portion of the children of Juda was greater than theirs; and the children of Symeon inherited in the midst of their lot.

Ἀπὸ τοῦ κλήρου τοῦ Ἰούδα ἡ κληρονομία φυλῆς υἱῶν Συμεὼν, ὅτι ἐγενήθη ἡ μερὶς υἱῶν Ἰούδα μείζων τῆς αὐτῶν· καὶ ἐκληρονόμησαν οἱ υἱοὶ Συμεὼν ἐν μέσῳ τοῦ κλήρου αὐτῶν.

And the third lot came out to Zabulon according to their families: the bounds of their inheritance shall be—Esedekgola shall be their border,

Καὶ ἐξῆλθεν ὁ κλῆρος ὁ τρίτος τῷ Ζαβουλὼν κατὰ δήμους αὐτῶν· ἔσται τὰ ὅρια τῆς κληρονομίας αὐτῶν, Ἐσεδεκγωλὰ ὅρια αὐτῶν,

the sea and Magelda, and it shall reach to Bætharaba in the valley, which is opposite Jekman.

ἡ θάλασσα καὶ Μαγελδὰ, καὶ συνάψει ἐπὶ Βαιθάραβὰ εἰς τὴν φάραγγα, ἥ ἐστι κατὰ πρόσωπον Ἰεκμάν.

And the border returned from Sedduc in a contrary direction eastward from Bæthsamys, to the borders of Chaselothaith, and shall pass on to Dabiroth, and shall proceed upward to Phangai.

Καὶ ἀνέστρεψεν ἀπὸ Σεδδοὺκ ἐξ ἐναντίας ἀπὸ ἀνατολῶν Βαιθσαμὺς ἐπὶ τὰ ὅρια Χασελωθαὶθ, καὶ διελεύσεται ἐπὶ Δαβιρὼθ, καὶ προσαναβήσεται ἐπὶ Φαγγαί.

And thence it shall come round in the opposite direction eastward to Gebere to the city of Catasem, and shall go on to Remmonaa Matharaoza.

Καὶ ἐκεῖθεν περιελεύσεται ἐξ ἐναντίας ἐπʼ ἀνατολὰς ἐπὶ Γεβερὲ ἐπὶ πόλιν Κατασὲμ, καὶ διελεύσεται ἐπὶ Ῥεμμωναὰ Μαθαραοζά.

And the borders shall come round northward to Amoth, and their going out shall be at Gæphael,

Καὶ περιελεύσεται ὅρια ἐπὶ Βοῤῥᾶν ἐπὶ Ἀμὼθ, καὶ ἔσται ἡ διέξοδος αὐτῶν ἐπὶ Γαιφαὴλ,

and Catanath, and Nabaal, and Symoön, and Jericho, and Bæthman.

καὶ Κατανὰθ, καὶ Ναβαὰλ, καὶ Συμοὼν, καὶ Ἱεριχὼ, καὶ Βαιθμάν.

This is the inheritance of the tribe of the sons of Zabulon according to their families, these cities and their villages.

Αὕτη ἡ κληρονομία τῆς φυλῆς υἱῶν Ζαβουλὼν κατὰ δήμους αὐτῶν, πόλεις καὶ αἱ κῶμαι αὐτῶν.

And the fourth lot came out to Issachar.

Καὶ τῷ Ἰσσὰχαρ ἐξῆλθεν ὁ κλῆρος ὁ τέταρτος.

And their borders were Jazel, and Chasaloth, and Sunam,

Καὶ ἐγενήθη τὰ ὅρια αὐτῶν Ἰαζὴλ, καὶ Χασαλὼθ, καὶ Σουνὰμ,

and Agin, and Siona, and Reeroth,

καὶ Ἀγὶν, καὶ Σιωνὰ, καὶ Ῥεηρὼθ, καὶ Ἀναχερὲθ,

and Anachereth, and Dabiron, and Kison, and Rebes,

καὶ Δαβιρὼν, καὶ Κισὼν, καὶ Ῥεβές,

and Remmas, and Jeon, and Tomman, and Æmarec, and Bersaphes.

καὶ Ῥεμμὰς, καὶ Ἰεὼν, καὶ Τομμὰν, καὶ Αἰμαρὲκ, καὶ Βηρσαφής.

And the boundaries shall border upon Gæthbor, and upon Salim westward, and Bæthsamys; and the extremity of his bounds shall be Jordan.

Καὶ συνάψει τὰ ὅρια ἐπὶ Γαιθβὼρ, καὶ ἐπὶ Σαλὶμ κατὰ θάλασσαν, καὶ Βαιθσαμύς· καὶ ἔσται αὐτοῦ ἡ διέξοδος τῶν ὁρίων ὁ Ἰορδάνης.

This is the inheritance of the tribe of the children of Issachar according to their families, the cities and their villages.

Αὕτη ἡ κληρονομία φυλῆς υἱῶν Ἰσσάχαρ κατὰ δήμους αὐτῶν, αἱ πόλεις καὶ αἱ κῶμαι αὐτῶν.

And the fifth lot came out to Aser according to their families.

Καὶ ἐξῆλθεν ὁ κλῆρος ὁ πέμπτος Ἀσὴρ κατὰ δήμους αὐτῶν.

And their borders were Exeleketh, and Aleph, and Bæthok, and Keaph,

Καὶ ἐγενήθη τὰ ὅρια αὐτῶν Ἐξελεκὲθ, καὶ Ἀλὲφ, καὶ Βαιθὸκ, καὶ Κεὰφ,

and Elimelech, and Amiel, and Maasa, and the lot will border on Carmel westward, and on Sion, and Labanath.

καὶ Ἐλιμελὲχ, καὶ Ἀμιὴλ, καὶ Μαασά· καὶ συνάψει τῷ Καρμήλῳ κατὰ θάλασσαν, καὶ τῷ Σιὼν, καὶ Λαβανάθ.

And it will return westward from Bæthegeneth, and will join Zabulon and Ekgai, and Phthæel northwards, and the borders will come to Saphthæbæthme, and Inael, and will go on to Chobamasomel,

Καὶ ἐπιστρέψει ἀπὸ ἀνατολῶν ἡλίου καὶ Βαιθεγενὲθ, καὶ συνάψει τῷ Ζαβουλὼν καὶ Ἐκγαῖ, καὶ Φθαιὴλ κατὰ Βοῤῥᾶν, καὶ εἰσελεύσεται ὅρια Σαφθαιβαιθμὲ, καὶ Ἰναὴλ, καὶ διελεύσεται εἰς Χωβαμασομὲλ,

and Elbon, and Raab, and Ememaon, and Canthan to great Sidon.

καὶ Ἐλβὼν, καὶ Ῥαὰβ, καὶ Ἐμεμαὼν, καὶ Κανθὰν ἕως Σιδῶνος τῆς μεγάλης.

And the borders shall turn back to Rama, and to the fountain of Masphassat, and the Tyrians; and the borders shall return to Jasiph, and their going forth shall be the sea, and Apoleb, and Echozob,

Καὶ ἀναστρέψει τὰ ὅρια εἰς Ῥαμὰ, καὶ ἕως πηγῆς Μασφασσὰτ, καὶ τῶν Τυρίων· καὶ ἀναστρέψει τὰ ὅρια ἐπὶ Ἰασὶφ, καὶ ἔσται ἡ διέξοδος αὐτοῦ ἡ θάλασσα, καὶ Ἀπολὲβ, καὶ Ἐχοζὸβ,

and Archob, and Aphec, and Raau.

καὶ Ἀρχὸβ, καὶ Ἀφὲκ, καὶ Ῥααύ.

This is the inheritance of the tribe of the sons of Aser according to their families, the cities and their villages.

Αὕτη ἡ κληρονομία φυλῆς υἱῶν Ἀσὴρ κατὰ δήμους αὐτῶν, πόλεις καὶ αἱ κῶμαι αὐτῶν.

And the sixth lot came out to Nephthali.

Καὶ τῷ Νεφθαλὶ ἐξῆλθεν ὁ κλῆρος ὁ ἕκτος.

And their borders were Moolam, and Mola, and Besemiin, and Arme, and Naboc, and Jephthamai, as far as Dodam; and their goings out were Jordan.

Καὶ ἐγενήθη τὰ ὅρια αὐτῶν Μοολὰμ, καὶ Μωλὰ, καὶ Βεσεμιῒν, καὶ Ἀρμὲ, καὶ Ναβὸκ, καὶ Ἰεφθαμαὶ, ἕως Δωδάμ· καὶ ἐγενήθησαν αἱ διέξοδοι αὐτοῦ Ἰορδάνης.

And the coasts will return westward by Athabor, and will go out thence to Jacana, and will border on Zabulon southward, and Aser will join it westward, and Jordan eastward.

Καὶ ἐπιστρέψει τὰ ὅρια ἐπὶ θάλασσαν ἐν Ἀθθαβὼρ, καὶ διελεύσεται ἐκεῖθεν Ἰακανὰ, καὶ συνάψει τῷ Ζαβουλὼν ἀπὸ Νότου, καὶ Ἀσὴρ συνάψει κατὰ θάλασσαν, καὶ ὁ Ἰορδάνης ἀπὸ ἀνατολῶν ἡλίου.

And the walled cities of the Tyrians, Tyre, and Omathadaketh, and Kenereth,

Καὶ αἱ πόλεις τειχήρεις τῶν Τυρίων, Τυρὸς, καὶ Ὠμαθαδακὲθ, καὶ Κενερέθ,

and Armaith, and Arael, and Asor,

καὶ Ἀρμαὶθ, καὶ Ἀραὴλ, καὶ Ἀσὼρ,

and Cades, and Assari, and the well of Asor;

καὶ Κάδες, καὶ Ἀσσαρὶ, καὶ πηγὴ Ἀσὸρ,

and Keroe, and Megalaarim, and Bætthame, and Thessamys.

καὶ Κερωὲ, καὶ Μεγαλααρὶμ, καὶ Βαιθθαμὲ, καὶ Θεσσαμύς.

This is the inheritance of the tribe of the children of Nephthali.

Αὕτη ἡ κληρονομία φυλῆς υἱῶν Νεφθαλί.

And the seventh lot came out to Dan.

Καὶ τῷ Δὰν ἐξῆλθεν ὁ κλῆρος ὁ ἕβδομος·

And their borders were Sarath, and Asa, and the cities of Sammaus,

Καὶ ἐγενήθη τὰ ὅρια αὐτῶν Σαρὰθ, καὶ Ἀσὰ, καὶ πόλεις Σαμμαὺς,

and Salamin, and Ammon, and Silatha,

καὶ Σαλαμὶν, καὶ Ἀμμὸν, καὶ Σιλαθὰ,

and Elon, and Thamnatha, and Accaron;

καὶ Ἐλὼν, καὶ Θαμναθὰ, καὶ Ἀκκαρὼν,

and Alcatha, and Begethon, and Gebeëlan,

καὶ Ἀλκαθὰ, καὶ Βεγεθὼν, καὶ Γεβεελὰν,

and Azor, and Banæbacat, and Gethremmon.

καὶ Ἀζὼρ, καὶ Βαναιβακὰτ, καὶ Γεθρεμμὼν,

And westward of Hieracon the border was near to Joppa.

καὶ ἀπὸ θαλάσσης Ἱερὰκων ὅριον πλησίον Ἰόππης.

This is the inheritance of the tribe of the children of Dan, according to their families, these are their cities and their villages:

Αὕτη ἡ κληρονομία φυλῆς υἱῶν Δὰν κατὰ δήμους αὐτῶν, αἱ πόλεις αὐτῶν καὶ αἱ κῶμαι αὐτῶν·

and the children of Dan did not drive out the Amorite who afflicted them in the mountain; and the Amorite would not suffer them to come down into the valley, but they forcibly took from them the border of their portion.

καὶ οὐκ ἐξέθλιψαν οἱ υἱοὶ Δὰν τὸν Ἀμοῤῥαῖον τὸν θλίβοντα αὐτοὺς ἐν τῷ ὄρει· καὶ οὐκ εἴων αὐτοὺς οἱ Ἀμοῥῥαῖοι καταβῆναι εἰς τὴν κοιλάδα, καὶ ἔθλιψαν ἀπʼ αὐτῶν τὸ ὅριον τῆς μερίδος αὐτῶν.

And the sons of Dan went and fought against Lachis, and took it, and smote it with the edge of the sword; and they dwelt in it, and called the name of it Lasendan:

Καὶ ἐπορεύθησαν οἱ υἱοὶ Δὰν καὶ ἐπολέμησαν τὴν Λαχὶς, καὶ κατελάβοντο αὐτὴν, καὶ ἐπάταξαν αὐτὴν ἐν στόματι μαχαίρας· καὶ κατῴκησαν αὐτὴν καὶ ἐκάλεσαν τὸ ὄνομα αὐτῆς Λασενδάν·

and the Amorite continued to dwell in Edom and in Salamin: and the hand of Ephraim prevailed against them, and they became tributaries to them.

καὶ ὁ Ἀμοῤῥαῖος ὑπέμεινε τοῦ κατοικεῖν ἐν Ἐλὼμ καὶ ἐν Σαλαμίν· καὶ ἐβαρύνθη ἡ χεὶρ τοῦ Ἐφραὶμ ἐπʼ αὐτοὺς, καὶ ἐγένοντο αὐτοῖς εἰς φόρον.

And they proceeded to take possession of the land according to their borders, and the children of Israel gave an inheritance to Joshua the son of Naue among them,

Καὶ ἐπορεύθησαν ἐμβατεύσαι τὴν γῆν κατὰ τὸ ὅριον αὐτῶν· καὶ ἔδωκαν οἱ υἱοὶ Ἰσραὴλ κλῆρον τῷ Ἰησοῖ τῷ υἱῷ Ναυῆ ἐν αὐτοῖς

by the command of God, and they gave him the city which he asked for, Thamnasarach, which is in the mount of Ephraim; and he built the city, and dwelt in it.

διὰ προστάγματος τοῦ Θεοῦ, καὶ ἔδωκαν αὐτῷ τὴν πόλιν, ἣν ᾐτήσατο, Θαμνασαρὰχ, ἥ ἐστιν ἐν τῷ ὄρει Ἐφραίμ· καὶ ᾠκοδόμησε τὴν πόλιν, καὶ κατῴκει ἐν αὐτῇ.

These are the divisions which Eleazar the priest divided by lot, and Joshua the son of Naue, and the heads of families among the tribes of Israel, according to the lots, in Selo before the Lord by the doors of the tabernacle of testimony, and they went to take possession of the land.

Αὗται αἱ διαιρέσεις ἃς κατεκληρονόμησεν Ἐλεάζαρ ὁ ἱερεὺς, καὶ Ἰησοῦς ὁ τοῦ Ναυῆ, καὶ οἱ ἄρχοντες τῶν πατριῶν ἐν ταῖς φυλαῖς Ἰσραὴλ κατὰ κλήρους ἐν Σηλὼ ἔναντι Κυρίου, παρὰ τὰς θύρας τῆς σκηνῆς τοῦ μαρτυρίου· καὶ ἐπορεύθησαν ἐμβατεῦσαι τὴν γῆν.
