About

About this project

Apoteichisis is an independent research and publishing project devoted to a cluster of questions in Orthodox ecclesiology: ecclesiastical communion, Canon 15 of the First and Second Council, heresy and schism, conciliar judgment, and the history of resistance to publicly preached error. Its aim is to gather the primary sources, present them accurately, and keep the evidence visibly separate from interpretation.

What this project is not

It is not an official organ of any Church, jurisdiction, or monastery. Publication here does not imply ecclesiastical endorsement of any view. It is not a polemical campaign against particular persons; where living people are discussed, it is only with documentation, careful wording, and attribution, and never with unsupported personal allegations.

How to use it

Begin with the introduction or the Begin Here course, consult the Canon 15 research centre for the charter text, and read our editorial standards to understand how sources are handled. Contested conclusions are labelled; verify them through primary sources and competent spiritual guidance.

Corrections

Accuracy matters more than any thesis. A contact and source correction process is part of the project’s roadmap; until it is live, corrections and questions about sources are welcome and will be reviewed before any change is published.
