Confessors

Bishops, priests, monks and lay voices who publicly defended Orthodox teaching in the modern age. Read their actual words, acts and historical circumstances.

Here, “confessors” is the name of a historical study collection. It is not an announcement of sainthood or an ecclesiastical ruling. Some of these figures faced formal discipline, others faced public opposition, and some are included for their published theological witness. The biographies explain the difference.
