ΑΠΟΚΑΛΥΨΙΣ ΙΩΑΝΝΟΥ
Old Testament English: The Septuagint with Apocrypha, translated by Sir Lancelot C. L. Brenton, first published in 1851 and marked public domain by eBible.org. Supplied wording is shown in italics, small capitals are retained, and 2,594 nonempty translator and edition notes remain attached to their verses.
Old Testament Greek: The Greek Septuagint with Apocrypha, compiled by Brenton, also marked public domain by eBible.org. This is the Greek edition paired with Brenton English. It is identified precisely and is not presented as a transcription of GOARCH or of a modern Church of Greece liturgical edition.
Old Testament organization: the core book sequence and the appendix status of 4 Maccabees follow the Old Testament contents published by Apostoliki Diakonia of the Church of Greece. The combined Brenton Ezra source is displayed as 2 Esdras and Nehemiah. Susanna is displayed as Daniel 0, and Bel and the Dragon as Daniel 13. The Prayer of Manasseh, present in both Brenton source archives, is included separately and labeled as a liturgical text.
Numbering policy: both Old Testament editions retain their own verse identifiers, including lettered references. Where one edition has no separate counterpart, the parallel reader leaves that side empty and explains documented cases. No wording is generated or silently translated.
New Testament English: the King James Version, 1769 text, from the public domain KJV transcription. Italics indicate words supplied by the English translators. Paragraph marks are retained.
New Testament Greek base: a pinned public domain eBible.org transcription of the 1904 Patriarchal Greek New Testament. The checked-in source snapshot preserves its polytonic spelling, brackets, emphasis, and 20 inline correction notes. eBible's current Appendix A catalogs 21 corrections in total by additionally listing Philippians 4:1 (μοι → μου); the corrected μου is already present here.
GOARCH cross-check: the authorized 1904 presentation includes Mark 7:16 in brackets, while the pinned eBible base omits the entire verse. The reader supplies the bracketed GOARCH wording and labels it with a source note at the verse. The complete 27-book comparison and its pinned evidence are recorded with the source files.
New Testament transcription scope: eBible states that paragraph breaks were checked against the 1904 printed edition, but punctuation and accent marks were not. GOARCH and the corrected eBible base also contain documented 1904 versus 1912 differences. Apart from the labeled Mark 7:16 supplement, this reader retains the corrected eBible wording and does not claim a character-for-character facsimile of GOARCH or the printed volume.
KJV predates the 1904 Patriarchal edition and follows the Textus Receptus tradition. It is an accompanying English edition, not a translation made from this exact Greek text. Textual readings, verse divisions, and the placement of the Romans doxology can differ. The parallel reader groups known renumbered passages and adjacent boundary shifts by content while keeping each edition's own verse references visible.
