Editorial interpretationSchismatics returning to the Church, having been received by the laying on of hands, are to remain in the clergy, provided they profess to hold the doctrines of the Catholic Church.
Canon 19Reception of the Paulianists
Editorial interpretationFollowers of Paul of Samosata returning to the Church are to be rebaptized, since their baptism did not confer the Trinity.
Canon 20Standing for prayer
Editorial interpretationOne is to pray standing, not kneeling, on the Lord's Day and through the days of Pentecost.
