Psalms 28

A Psalm of David on the occasion of the solemn assembly of the Tabernacle. Bring to the Lord, ye sons of God, bring to the Lord young rams; bring to the Lord glory and honour.

Ψαλμὸς τῷ Δαυὶδ ἐξοδίου σκηνῆς. Ἐνέγκατε τῷ Κυρίῳ υἱοὶ Θεοῦ, ἐνέγκατε τῷ Κρίῳ υἱοὺς κριῶν· ἐνέγκατε τῷ Κυρίῳ δόξαν καὶ τιμὴν,

Bring to the Lord glory, due to his name; worship the Lord in his holy court.

ἐνέγκατε τῷ Κυρίῳ δόξαν ὀνόματι αὐτοῦ· προσκυνήσατε τῷ Κυρίῳ ἐν αὐλῇ ἁγίᾳ αὐτοῦ.

The voice of the Lord is upon the waters: the God of glory has thundered: the Lord is upon many waters.

Φωνὴ Κυρίου ἐπὶ τῶν ὑδάτων, ὁ Θεὸς τῆς δόξης ἐβρόντησε, Κύριος ἐπὶ ὑδάτων πολλῶν.

The voice of the Lord is mighty; the voice of the Lord is full of majesty.

Φωνὴ Κυρίου ἐν ἰσχύϊ, φωνὴ Κυρίου ἐν μεγαλοπρεπείᾳ.

There is the voice of the Lord who breaks the cedars; the Lord will break the cedars of Libanus.

Φωνὴ Κυρίου συντρίβοντος κέδρους, συντρίψει Κύριος τὰς κέδρους τοῦ Λιβάνου,

And he will beat them small, even Libanus itself, like a calf; and the beloved one is as a young unicorn.

Καὶ λεπτυνεῖ αὐτὰς ὡς τὸν μόσχον τὸν Λίβανον, καὶ ὁ ἠγαπημένος ὡς υἱὸς μονοκερώτων.

There is a voice of the Lord who divides a flame of fire.

Φωνὴ Κυρίου διακόπτοντος φλόγα πυρός.

A voice of the Lord who shakes the wilderness; the Lord will shake the wilderness of Cades.

Φωνὴ Κυρίου συσσείοντος ἔρημον, συνσσείσει Κύριος τὴν ἔρημον Κάδης.

The voice of the Lord strengthens the hinds, and will uncover the thickets: and in his temple every one speaks of his glory.

Φωνὴ Κυρίου καταρτιζομένου ἐλάφους, καὶ ἀποκαλύψει δρυμοὺς, καὶ ἐν τῷ ναῷ αὐτοῦ πᾶς τις λέγει δόξαν.

The Lord will dwell on the waterflood: and the Lord will sit a king for ever.

Κύριος τὸν κατακλυσμὸν κατοικιεῖ· καὶ καθιεῖται Κύριος βασιλεὺς εἰς τὸν αἰῶνα.

The Lord will give strength to his people; the Lord will bless his people with peace.

Κύριος ἰσχὺν τῷ λαῷ αὐτοῦ δώσει, Κύριος εὐλογήσει τὸν λαὸν αὐτοῦ ἐν εἰρήνῃ.
